Payment & insurance FAQ
Common questions about payment options, insurance and billing
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment can be made by bank transfer or card. An invoice is sent after each session, with payment due within 7 days.
Do you accept health insurance?
Hampden Healthcare is a self-pay service. Many private medical insurers will reimburse physiotherapy from an HCPC-registered, chartered physiotherapist, so you may be able to claim the cost back.
Can I claim physiotherapy costs through my insurance?
Check with your insurer before your first session, as some require a GP referral or pre-authorisation code. Helen is HCPC registered and a member of the CSP, and itemised invoices are provided so you can submit a claim.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange. Cancellations with less notice may be charged at the full session fee.
How do package discounts work?
If you book a block of sessions in advance, a reduced rate is available. Get in touch to discuss a package that suits the treatment plan.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, for longer treatment programmes payments can be spread out. Please ask during your initial conversation.
Are there any additional charges or hidden fees?
No hidden fees. Session prices include travel within Hertfordshire. For visits further afield, any travel charge is agreed with you before booking.
Can I get a receipt for my session?
Yes. You will receive an itemised invoice and a receipt once payment is made, suitable for insurance claims or care funding records.
